Boston in the fall is magic.
For Brooke + Shaun’s engagement session, we wandered the Arnold Arboretum, discovering little pockets of sun in the woods and laughing about Shaun wanting to feature some of the ducks passing by in the photos.
Photographing these two was easy, not because they are accustomed to a camera in their face, but because they trusted the process. They trusted my vision + when I told them I wanted to walk into the small opening of light in the woods as we were walking to our next destination, they trusted me.
Their love was evident in every prompt + pose, and there were many moments when I remember not saying anything. Just the sound of my shutter on repeat. Their ability to live in the intimate space built just for the two of them helped make everything feel natural and like I wasn’t even there at all.
Aside from the parallel parking, this session was one for the books.
